How to Use the Add-on
- Open Blender and switch to Object Mode.
- Select one or more objects that you want to colorize.
- Go to Object > Random Object Colorizer in the 3D Viewport menu.
- Choose one of the four options:
- Random color for each object – Assigns a different random color to each selected object.
- Same random color for all objects – Applies the same random color to all selected objects.
- Random color per collection – Objects in the same collection get the same color.
- Delete material – Removes materials from selected objects to reset them.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
To speed up your workflow, you can also use these hotkeys:
- Ctrl + Alt + R – Random color for each object.
- Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R – Same random color for all objects.
- Ctrl + Alt + C – Random color per collection.
- Ctrl + Alt + D – Delete material.
Installation Instructions:
- Download the ZIP file containing the add-on.
- Open Blender, then go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Click Install... and select the downloaded ZIP file.
- Check the box next to Random Object Colorizer to enable it.
- The add-on is now available under Object > Random Object Colorizer in the 3D Viewport menu.
